Born in Weirton, West Virginia, Mr.Sal began playing drums at the age of 12. Inspired by drummers such as Buddy Rich and Gene Crupa Mr.Sal joined the Weir High Marching Band in 1961 as they traveled to New York to participate in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. The next year the band was invited to the World Music Festival in Kirguard, Holland (now the Netherlands). The band won first place in this festival. All along Mr.Sal mastered the art of playing snare drum and drum kit. Since then Mr.Sal has been in bands such as Little Sal and the Princetons and the Five O'clock Rush. Mr.Sal has 3 children and lives with his wife and youngest daughter.
