Mr. Adrian
Adrian has been teaching guitar lessons for 6 years to all ages. He has a bachelors degree in music from Cal Poly Pomona. Lessons will be aimed at achieving the students' goals while providing guidance on proper technique and musicianship. Topics explored are learning standard notation, tab, improvising, and learning their favorite songs in pop, rock, jazz, blues, classical or country styles.
Ms. Allysia
Allysia has been playing guitar for 12 years, and has over 4 years of experience teaching private and group music lessons. She earned a Bachelors degree in Music from Cal Poly Pomona. During her time at Cal Poly Pomona, she studied classical guitar for 4 years and was an active member of the CPP Guitar Ensemble and the Mariachi Los Caballeros de Pomona. She also spent a summer in Granada, Spain through the CSU Summer Arts program “La Guitarra Española”, where she studied flamenco guitar technique and attended master classes and workshops.
As a teacher, Allysia is passionate about helping students learn to play songs they enjoy. She has experience playing and teaching many styles of music, including classical, folk, pop, rock, jazz, and metal, so her students are welcome to build a repertoire of songs that reflect their musical tastes. She uses these songs along with traditional instruction methods to help students develop essential musical skills such as note reading, rhythm, expression, and more. Allysia’s main goal as a teacher is to guide and inspire her students to become the best musicians they can be.
